Leven Art Society was founded in 1970, centred on the communities of Great Ayton, Stokesley and Hutton Rudby.  We are a group of  artists in Cleveland and North Yorkshire.

Each year we hold an exhibition in Stokesley Town Hall of original works of art, most of which are available to purchase.

Our 2025 annual exhibition of members’ works will be from Friday 11th April to Sunday 13th April in Stokesley Town Hall, open from 10am - 6pm each day.

Our calendar for 2025, which features paintings chosen from the 2024 exhibition, is now available. You can have a look here and if you would like to buy a copy, let Jim know at jimmiller@levenart.org.

Come into the site to learn more about us and see some of our members’ work on their own pages.

During the periods of enforced isolation in 2020 and 2021, our members were not idle. Have a look at a selection of their works in our Lockdown Gallery, and also in  Lockdown 2 and Lockdown 3! Our programme of events during this time had to be replaced by demonstrations and workshops via Zoom. Click here to see some of the the results.
